iOS 26 Liquid Glass update and Adaptations
What's new in Praxis 1.9.7
Praxis 1.9.7 is out introducing - for the first time - support for site-specific tweaks, or Adaptations, as well as colorful iOS 26 design changes.
Adaptations are enabled by default and activate automatically when you visit a supported site. On adapted websites, Praxis will selectively enable parts of the original page’s JavaScript in a controlled way so that more of its original content is preserved. The result: you can now access full articles from more popular websites than before.
Check if your favourite websites are supported by going to Settings > Adaptations. More adaptations will be available in the future based on your in-app feedback, so continue to use the Report Site function to vote for your go-to sites.
Apple’s new Liquid Glass design language does not quite agree with Praxis aesthetic, and a considered response to that is in the works for 2.0. Until then, the app’s current design has been quietly worked on in the background for a number of updates, and if you missed it - it now supports Themes.
Themes are the only paid feature in the app. Praxis core functionality is and will always remain free.
